Mike Gillis

Mike Gillis has been in the business for over 20 years. He’s spent the last 13 of those years as a Director of Photography, ranging from commercials to independent film.  With that type of experience his list of noteworthy clients is long, and includes names like Budweiser, Pro Health, Miller Brewing, Harley Davidson, Verizon, HBO, ESPN and Toyota to name a few. His style is a blend of art, craft and technical know-how. 

Mike is dedicated to giving his all, which is evident in his mantra of working your way up, understanding all the roles and power of teamwork, and constantly learning and growing.  Earlier in his career he studied the lighting side of production allowing him to observe how other DP’s worked, picking up many tricks from them and creating some of his own along the way. Oh, and let us not forget to mention Mike’s trademark sense of humor.  Gifted DP and funny?  Yep, that is Mike Gillis.
